我覺得Headlines真是一本很好的音樂雜誌，雖然我已看了三、四年，但仍不太懂得鑑別一首音樂是否很商業，可否教我?
例如：有個女歌手dido的一首歌white flag，我覺得不俗，但我朋友郤說這歌很商業，真搞不清楚。 |

這是一個很好的問題，事實上，很多人都覺得流行不及前衛，冷門出色，今日有很多樂評人也有這觀念，尤其一位歌手如dido，當她solo出現時因夥同Faithless，故樂評和樂迷，一份獨立打破流行封鎖的心態出現了，到White Flag出現，由於結構抒情普及多了，令之前一班樂評和樂迷唱反調。事實上，此曲非常上乘，比dido早期的歌曲兼顧得更廣泛，這在難度上更高，可惜給某些樂評和樂迷看低了。筆者很愛這一曲，告訴你，喜歡就是喜歡，評論只作參考，筆者作為樂評人也堅持這點。 |

Mika is a funny name, ok, just in this description. In this moment Mika is popular that's meant the Brit music scene is declined. Mika is no skill at all, just a copycat style, and had a humiliated voice to Freddie Mercury. after 3 months, who's care this name. I don't like this name. (MW) |

Dear editor,
I have two questions concerning the film soundtrack which i couldn't find out the answer for a long time.
1) I have watched a film called " Vanilla Sky " with starring of Tom Cruse. At the end of the film, Tom is ready to jump from height and then he really does, there was a soft background music with a male singer but i couldn't find out if that is a song. I really like that music clap very much. Hopefully you could help to solve out for the details of the clap. I have already bought the soundtrack of the film but not included for that clap.
2) Is the film " BIG " featuring Tom Hanks had soundtrack published ? I never found for 10+ years !!

The soundtrack of Vanilla Sky was a highly recommended release, there's many good tracks and with an awarded title song to Paul McCartney. The music score was made by ex-Heart member Nancy Wilson. The song you mentioned not included in the soundtrack, This case always happened in movie soundtrack, sometime they will not have released copyright. the best way to find out who performed this one is screening the end rolling credits of the film. So, buy the DVD and track.
Tom Hanks BIG soundtrack was released under Universal Music label, but not official released or promoted in Hong Kong. You may buy this through internet.

很感謝你一直的努力，headlines使我知道更多音樂消息。不過我發現headlines的介紹只局限於香港有代理的歌手/樂隊。以日本為例，最明顯的例子是Mr. Children。Mr. Children的新大碟《HOME》是日本本年至現在為止(至07年4月20日)第一隻cd有超過100萬銷量。不過你們headlines中完全沒有提及。我明白，礙於他們在港沒有代理，而且在香港人氣未必及得上濱崎步等(這很大原因是香港很少媒介介紹，並不代表他們沒有實力)。你們未必有資源了解，不過他們能有這樣高的銷量，如何看都值得音樂雜誌提一提，就算是只是news也好吧？
如果真的沒有空閒時間介紹其他歌手，那麼起碼附上各地歌曲留行榜(英/美/日)，那麼人們的眼光才會擴闊。當歌迷看到大碟榜銷量很高的歌手，就算沒有介紹，他們都有機會認識這些歌手。 |

There's essential in State and Britian, 3 albums are Dark Sid Of The Moon by Pink Floyd, The White Album by The Beatles and Pet Sound by Beach Boys.

音樂的根源就是指music root，different kind of music have different roots, normally you can listen some legend names or read more articles about music can help you to understand.音樂不是單聽就滿足，也要看多些，現今有很多web site都有討論音樂根源，但不容否認有不少有錯誤引導.(MW) |
